Over 500 athletes from 22 states competed in the most electrifying jump rope championship India has ever hosted.

The Indian Jump Rope Association (IJRA) successfully organized the National Jump Rope Championship 2024 in New Delhi, bringing together over 500 athletes from 22 states across India.

The championship, held at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium, featured competitions across multiple age categories — Juniors (Under 14), Youths (Under 18), and Senior divisions. Athletes competed in Speed Rope, Freestyle, and Double Dutch events.

Highlights of the Championship

The event saw record-breaking performances with national records set in five different events. The senior speed rope category witnessed times that put India on the global jump rope map.

Chief Guest and Director of Sports Authority of India commended IJRA's efforts in organizing a world-class event that demonstrates India's growing prowess in rope sports.
